Coordination project - cross-cutting activities of DFG-priority programme

The project described in the following is devoted to the coordination of the DFG priority programme (SPP 1313, "Biological Responses to Nanoscale Particles", BRN) and involves the general coordination activities as well as a number of specific cross-cutting activities.
These are proposed in order
to improve the execution of a highly interdisciplinary programme,
to foster and to enhance the cooperation between different projects and project clusters,
to assist with the transfer and exchange of material, know-how and specific techniques,
to organize specific thematic workshops as well as international symposia,
to establish a web-based internal communication system,
to create a SPP 1313 data base,
to provide a communication platform with other interested parties, projects (i.e. NANOCARE of BMBF, various NP related EU projects) and the public.
The coordination project of BNR will be hosted by the Centre of Microscale Ecosystems (CME) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. The scientific director of this centre is Prof. Dr. Reinhard Zellner, also head of the Institute of Physical Chemistry of this university. The administrative responsible is the managing director, Dr. Michael Eisinger.
